BLUEBEAM ON IPAD
Revu for iPad
is gone.
Bluebeam took Revu for iPad off the App Store at the end of 2025. This is what Bluebeam says replaced it, how the replacement is rated, and how Redline calibrates, measures and marks up drawings in Safari on an iPad, with an Apple Pencil or a finger.
Is Bluebeam Revu for iPad discontinued?
Yes. Bluebeam retired Revu for iPad, Revu for iPad B2B and Vu for iPad on 31 December 2025; they are no longer supported or available for download. A copy already installed keeps working until you stop using that iPad or upgrade to a new version of iOS. Bluebeam's replacement is the Bluebeam app for iOS, rated 1.5 out of 5 from 397 ratings on the US App Store when checked on 29 September 2026.
Redline needs no app. In Safari on an iPad it calibrates a sheet, measures, clouds and exports, with an Apple Pencil or a finger, and it can be added to the Home Screen to open full screen.
What Bluebeam says happened
| When | What, according to Bluebeam |
|---|---|
| 31 December 2025 | Revu for iPad, Revu for iPad B2B and Vu for iPad retired from the App Store. They are no longer supported or available for download. |
| Since then | A copy already installed keeps working until you stop using the device or upgrade to a new version of iOS. Bluebeam's Mac and iPad page adds that future iPadOS updates will eventually make it inoperable. |
| The replacement | The Bluebeam app for iOS and Bluebeam on the web, which Bluebeam now calls the primary ways to work on mobile. |

What replaced Revu for iPad?
The Bluebeam app for iOS, which runs on iPad and iPhone, and on Apple silicon Macs that run iPad apps. Bluebeam describes it as joining Studio Projects and Sessions, viewing drawings, placing markups and managing files, and its pricing page lists area, length, polylength and count measurement on mobile. The app is a free download; the Bluebeam plans that include web and mobile access run from $260 to $590 per user a year, billed annually.

How is the Bluebeam iPad app rated?
On the US App Store, the Bluebeam app from Bluebeam, Inc. showed 1.5 out of 5 from 397 ratings on 29 September 2026. Ratings move, and they come from the people who chose to leave one, so read the recent reviews on its App Store page before you decide.
Can I still use Revu for iPad if it is installed?
For now. Bluebeam says an installed copy keeps working until you stop using the device or upgrade to a new version of iOS, and it is no longer supported. Its Mac and iPad page adds that future iPadOS updates will eventually make it inoperable, so plan the move before the next major iPadOS update rather than after it.
How does Redline work on an iPad?
In Safari, with nothing to install. Sign in at redlinepdf.net and open a PDF from the Files app; the drawings on your desktop are there too, because they belong to your account. With a tool in hand, one finger or an Apple Pencil draws, and two fingers pinch to zoom and drag to move without ever drawing.
| Task | How it goes on an iPad |
|---|---|
| Calibrate | Drag along a dimension you know and type its real length, or enter the drawn ratio, such as 1:100. Each page keeps its own scale. |
| Measure | Length, area, perimeter, volume, angle and count, with the figures shown as you place points. Tap each corner of an area or perimeter, then finish it by tapping its first corner again, double-tapping the last corner or pressing Finish on the bar that appears beside the readout. Tapping fixtures to count them suits a tablet well. |
| Cloud | Drag a box and it becomes a revision cloud whose corners you can then drag, or place it corner by corner. Cloud+ adds the callout in the same step. |
| Pen | The Apple Pencil draws pen strokes directly, and a smoothing setting, from none to strong, takes out the wobble. |
| Export | A PDF with editable annotations, a flattened PDF or a CSV of quantities, downloaded through Safari into the Files app. |
| Home Screen | In Safari, Share, then Add to Home Screen. Redline then opens full screen from its own icon, like an installed app. |
Calibrated length and area and editable export come with Redline Plus, and the rest of measurement with Pro. Every account starts with 30 days of Pro, no card. Then Free unless you choose Plus or Pro; your drawings stay. The Revu 20 switch offer runs for accounts opened by 31 January 2027. Plans and prices.

What is still better at a desk?
Long takeoff sessions and precise points at high zoom. A tablet suits review, counting and spot measurement on site; an afternoon of quantities is easier with a mouse and keyboard. The guide to measuring and marking up on an iPad goes through what suits a tablet, and the guide for the Mac covers the same work at a desk. What Bluebeam still runs on a Mac is on Bluebeam for Mac, and the Revu 20 deadline on Revu 20 end of life.
